I remember going to this little store when I was young and barely tall enough to see the cookies I was picking out. Over the years they haven't changed a thing about their recipe for their amazing doughnuts and cookies. I would highly recommend waking up early to experience their doughnuts.

We got donuts there today and they were stale. We also seen a few flies around. Definitely not what it used to be. Mrs Shirley’s bakery is 100% better, cleaner and affordable!

Alexandria's most iconic place for fresh donuts. Michael makes his own vanilla glaze that makes the persians (basically a glazed cinnamon roll) just mind blowing.

Country cousins has EXCELLENT pastries! Cream filled, homemade, and even warm donuts. The man was very friendly and I WOULD drive out of my way to go there. Can not wait to get birthday cakes from there!

Country Cousins Bakery has the best donuts in Alexandria! The small town charm is just a bonus. We will go here over any other Bakery in town.
